Getting to a Missoula show: parking and the Groove Shuttle
Most Missoula shows are in town. One big outdoor venue is not. KettleHouse Amphitheater sits outside Missoula, in Bonner, so a show there needs a plan for the ride, the lot, and the bag. This guide gives you the basics from the venue's own files.
Where the amphitheater is
KettleHouse Amphitheater is an outdoor amphitheater on the Blackfoot River in Bonner. It opened in 2017 and has room for about 4,000 people. It books summer touring shows. The address is 605 Cold Smoke Ln, Bonner, MT 59823.
Logjam Presents runs the amphitheater. For show-day news, use the venue's own page on logjampresents.com. Do not trust a look-alike site for parking or tickets.
Drive and park
If you drive, plan on a paid lot. These are the rules from Logjam Presents:
Price: $12 in advance, $15 on the day, and $30 for RVs and extended vehicles.
Payment: card only.
Time: the lots open 90 minutes before doors.
Space: the lots can sell out. Buy parking in advance when you can.
Overnight: no overnight parking.
The box office also opens 90 minutes before doors on show days. If you get to the lot when it opens, the box office is open too.
Take the Groove Shuttle
You do not have to drive. Groove Shuttles run from Missoula to the amphitheater on show nights. They leave the Top Hat parking lot at 134 W Front St, starting one hour before doors. A round trip costs $15.
The shuttle takes the drive and the lot off your list. It is a good choice when no one in your group wants to drive home. The Logjam page for shuttles, parking, and directions has the full details.
Access needs
The amphitheater has two ADA sections for wheelchairs.
ADA tickets are on each event page from the first presale.
ADA parking is limited. It goes first come, first served.
A shuttle with a wheelchair lift is available. Ask for it at least 24 hours ahead at boxoffice@logjampresents.com.
What to bring, and what to leave
Bag: clear bags only, up to 12 by 6 by 12 inches. A clutch up to 4.5 by 6.5 inches is also fine.
Seat: a towel-sized blanket, a small cushion, or a stadium seat. Chairs with legs are not allowed.
Water: bring an empty water bottle if you like. Empty bottles are allowed.
ID: a physical government ID. Digital IDs are not accepted.
Payment: a card. Food and drink sales are cashless.
Leave at home: outside food and drinks.
There is no re-entry, so bring what you need on your first trip in. Concerts go on rain or shine. Check the forecast and dress for it.
Downtown shows
Not every show night needs a drive out of town. Caras Park is the riverfront pavilion downtown, at 123 Carousel Dr. It is home to free summer series, such as Downtown ToNight on Thursday evenings from June through August. The Caras Park calendar on missouladowntown.com lists its other events.
The Top Hat is downtown too, at 134 W Front St. Its lot is the Groove Shuttle stop for amphitheater shows.
We have no venue-published parking rules for the downtown rooms. Open the venue's own page from the event listing before you go, and give yourself time to find a spot.
