Connecting GitHub to Troopr allows the AI to see your team's real-world activity, such as pull requests and commits. This connection is essential for the Automated Standup feature, where Troopr drafts updates for users based on their actual work, saving everyone time during daily check-ins.
How to Connect GitHub
To link your GitHub account and repositories, follow these steps:
Open the Troopr Home tab in Slack.
Navigate to the Settings or Manage Connections section.
Select Manage GitHub Connection.
Follow the OAuth prompts to authorize Troopr. This ensures Troopr respects your existing permissions and security settings.
Once authorized, you can select the specific repositories you want Troopr to monitor for your team.
Why Connect GitHub?
When GitHub is connected, Troopr forms its own view of the work by cross-referencing activity across Jira, Slack, and GitHub. This provides several benefits for engineering teams:
