Installing Troopr in Slack
Overview
Troopr is an AI project manager that lives where your team works. To begin using Troopr for automated standups, Jira integration, and team reporting, users must first install the Troopr app into their Slack workspace.
Installation Options
There are two primary ways to install Troopr. Both methods require the user to have the necessary permissions to add apps to the Slack workspace.
Option 1: Install from the Troopr Website
Navigate to the Troopr website.
Click the Start for free or Try Troopr button.
Users will be redirected to Slack's authorization page. Review the requested permissions and click Allow to grant Troopr access to the workspace.
Option 2: Install from the Slack App Directory
Open the Slack desktop app and navigate to the Apps section in the sidebar.
Search for "Troopr" in the Slack App Directory.
Select the Troopr app and click Add to Slack.
Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the authorization process.
Verifying the Installation
Once the installation is complete, users can verify that Troopr is active in the workspace by following these steps:
Check the Sidebar: Look for "Troopr" under the Apps section in the Slack sidebar.
Visit the App Home: Click on the Troopr app to open its Home tab. This is where users can manage settings and view team activity.
Try a Command: Type
/troopr helpin any channel. If the installation was successful, the Troopr bot will respond with a list of available commands and helpful resources.
